Question by GÓ™o: Is it unfair of me to tell teens to wait until they're ready to raise a child to have sex if I never waited?

I keep telling teens who ask questions about when they should have sex to wait until they are ready to raise a child to have sex, but I feel bad about saying so, as I never waited, and I most certaintly wasn't ready to raise a child. Is this unfair of me to preach to teenagers to wait until they're ready to raise a child to have sex when I never practiced what I am preaching?

i don't believe so...you took the responsibility of your mistake and you can teach kids that pre-marital sex is wrong by your experience.
